Google Tasks up grade

Why Google wants to limitate the number of caracters in titles AND notes ???

I am using Gotasks as a mind organiser... Notes will have thèse limitations (from a Google mail I received few days ago) :
* Task list name: 250 characters
* Task name: 1000 characters
* Task note: 8000 characters

Why ???
